This is a mind-blowing workshop for parents of fussy, colicky and unsettled babies who have tried "everything"! This workshop is taught by a Happiest Baby on the Block Certified Educator. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to see the world through your baby's eyes and how to, in a few short steps, switch off her crying to reveal a calm and peaceful baby.

Besides loving their babies like crazy, new parents have two main jobs - feeding their babies sucessfully, and calming them when they cry. Many resources are available to help avoid and overcome feeding problems, but many parents of crying babies say they feel all but abandoned by the medical community. Yet waves of crying and screaming can erode confidence, and lead to feeding problems, marital stress, and postnatal depression.

The Happiest Baby program is based on the landmark research of Dr. Harvey Karp, Assoc. Professor of Paediatrics at UCLA, and initally developed out of his interest in the fact that colic and unexplained persistent crying is virtually non-existant in most non-western cultures. Taught by a Certified Educator, this program identifies:

~ The "missing" fourth trimester - why babies are not fully ready for the world when they are born, and how this triggers the crying reflex;

~ The calming reflex - the way that reflexes kept your baby calm in the womb for nine months, and how they can still be calmed during the first months of life; and

~ The five S's - the five simple technqiues that activite the calming reflex in literally minutes.
